8.3.14  ACFI 10 - DEPRESSION

The ‘Total Score’ from the Cornell Scale for Depression (CSD) populates as Evidence into the Symptoms of Depression Checklist within a resident’s ACFI Claim Submission.

The CSD in Platinum 5.0 is an exact replica of the CSD tool within the Department of Health and Ageing ‘ACFI Assessment Pack’.

Note: The ‘View Report’ (printable) version of the CSD in Platinum 5.0 is not the ACFI Report, as required for supporting evidence as part of an ACFI Appraisal Pack.  The ‘ACFI 10 Depression’ Report (available via Reports / ACFI) is auto-populated with data from the electronic CSD in Platinum 5.0 and reflects the report format required by validators. Appraisors should sign this form. (Please refer to the ACFI Reports section of this user manual for further details).

The screenshot below shows the section in the CSD which is linked to ACFI 10 Depression.

Note: Details from the Emotional Needs Assessment also populate into the Evidence section of ACFI 10 Depression, displaying relevant data, as recorded in the assessment.  This ensures that users can view any inconsistencies that may exist between details in other sections of the program.
